The revolutionary   Swizzle   shape

Forty years of material improvements and advances in riding techniques has created need for a high performance shape; something  more in line with skiing than just sliding along in a pose.

At higher speeds 'apparent water hardness' is greater. Also, the size of surface contours  ridden these days are more varied.  A better board design is required to not only weave around every size wobbling 'water mogul', but also to fit tighter to the wave.

Consequently, designer, Tom Morey,  moved beyond  the 'pumpkin seed' plan shapes commonly used since the '50's.  Not only did he slim down that wide useless middle,  into a much higher performance 'parabolic' waisted plan shape, but also he incorporated AFTERBURNERS™. More on this in a moment.

How the   Swizzle  works

AFTERBURNERS

Yes, the Swizzle  has 'AFTERBURNERS™', an appropriate name for her two flat beveled rear rails. Each of these beveled rails has two sharp trailing edges, one upper and one lower.  These combination is essentially what has been the secret of bodyboard surfing for the past 35 years). As applied to surfboards design, they have earned their nickname because by delivering not only unparalleled glide and paddling speed but also amazing turn acceleration.

Slick, tough PE skins

Swizzle.'s slicker... tough PE skins all around, are akin to those of a porpoise,. They are faster than fiberglass/epoxy or polyester regardless of how smoothly either of those hard plastics might be sanded and polished.

Pliant

Swizzle 's soft materials all around offer a wealth of safety improvements.

Parabolic

Swizzle's parabolic plan shape fits better around all kinds on contours, gives superior handling from the nose, or tail, and enables tighter tucking into the pocket.  And it is even easier to sit on and carry. .

Highest performance removable skeg system

Swizzle also comes standard with the full size 12" FINS UNLIMITED removable skeg system capable of accepting hundreds of different skeg designs which have been developed by surfing experts for this system since the '60s.
